Update - Day 5

Gloria is unable to post an update today... it's been a little rough. This morning, she started on her first round of the more intensive chemotherapy, with several more following. They also started her on the drug that keeps her body from fighting off her donors' blood cells. It didn't take long until she felt the affects. She had flu like symptoms along with some other side affects. They gave her some medicine to help her rest and she has been sleeping most of the day.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Hi Mrs. Hildebrand! I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and praying for you. I asked my fellow teachers here to remember you in prayer also!! I'll have to get my little 2nd graders on the job also! May the Lord bless you with an overwhelming amount of strength, peace, and comfort as you walk through this time!
Blessings,
Cindy Rhine

Hi Gloria,
Sorry to hear things are a little rough. May you continue to feel the prayers, love, and support that so many are surrounding you with every day. And remember:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Hugs,
Connie S.

Hi Gloria and Rodney. I'm glad to see that your computer is up and running at the hospital. Sorry to hear that the treatments are taking a toll on her. Good to know that she has such a caring staff. Take care, talk to you later today.

Hi GloRod,
Denny and I are following along with your progress-probably doesn't feel like "progress", but you know it is!
Thanks, Rodney, for the message you left us Sunday-I was gone to Pa. for a class reunion and Denny couldn't find the blog without me, ya' know ;-) It sounds like Gloria is in such good hands-Rodney, you take care of yourself, too.
Keep the flames burning you two!
Love and good thoughts,
Pam & Denny
